The popular Hawaiian Music Series will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. on the Baldwin Home lawn.

The 30th Anniversary edition of the Hula O Nā Keiki children’s hula competition takes place Thursday Nov. 10 through Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel in West Maui.

Grammy Award winning reggae group SOJA returns to Hawaiʻi in February for a series of shows on Oʻahu, Maui, Kauaʻi, and Hawaiʻi Island.  SOJA’s last concert in Hawaiʻi was in 2019 in front of a capacity crowd at Oʻahu’s Aloha Stadium.  

The holidays on Maui will be highlighted this year with a special Willie Nelson & Family concert Friday, Dec. 23 outside under the stars in the MACC’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion. This concert is only happening on Maui and only happening at the MACC, featuring music legend Willie Nelson joined by Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, and Particle Kid (Micah Nelson).

Rebelution returns to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

For the first time since 2019, the ghoulish Halloween celebration is back in Lahaina — but in a limited capacity due to the 25% shortage of sworn Maui police officers.

Grammy-nominated and Nā  Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning singer Josh Tatofi performed at The Shops at Wailea on Friday, Oct. 28 as part of the center’s free concert series, “Ke Kani Hone O Wailea.”

“I am proud to be a multicultural brown woman with insecurities and a vibrant intersectional identity that I continue to grapple with. I hope young girls of today will know that the It Girl is whatever they want to be,” said Raye Zaragoza.

A children’s parade down Front Street in Lahaina and Halloween costume contests in Wailuku and Kahului are among the Halloween events scheduled on Maui this weekend.

Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center today launches a new virtual  exhibit as part of its centennial celebration that commemorates the plantation life that began when the island was purchased by pineapple pioneer James Dole in 1922. 

The grand prize award went to 4-year-old Caden Nowell, who dressed as rock n’ roll legend Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen. As the grand prize winner, he was awarded two round-trip tickets to any Alaska Airlines destination in the US.

Performances of the musical will be Nov. 11-13 and 18-20 at Seabury Hall’s ʻAʻaliʻikūhonua Creative Arts Center in Makawao.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center welcomes Hawai‘i Craftsmen 2022, an annual juried exhibit traveling to Maui from O‘ahu after a run there. The exhibit features 114 works by 92 artists from Hawai‘i Island, Kaua‘i, Lāna`i, Maui, Moloka‘i, and O‘ahu.

Maui Sunday Market will hold a fun, family-friendly Halloween event on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Kahului Shopping Center parking lot (65 West Ka‘ahumanu Ave., next to Burger King).

The Hawaiʻi International Film Festival returns to Maui with three feature films and a showing of six short films. All screenings will take place at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Nov. 18-19.
