A 27-year-old woman was airlifted to safety after sustaining an ankle injury while hiking at Haleakalā National Park on Friday afternoon.

Emergency responders launched a search by ground, air and ocean, and the missing man was located at around 11:08 a.m., about 100 feet feet down a cliff on the north side of Honokōhau Bay, in heavy vegetation.

A 60-year-old man from Washington State was airlifted to safety Monday morning after he fell and injured his leg while hiking on the Waiheʻe Ridge Trail.

Two visitors were airlifted to safety after rapidly rising waters prevented them from crossing a stream safely and cut them off from their hiking party, Wednesday.

A Maui man was airlifted to safety after becoming separated from his outrigger canoe offshore of Spreckelsville on Tuesday afternoon. The incident was reported at 4:17 p.m. on Jan. 6, along the north shore between Pāʻia and Kahului.

Watchstanders received a mayday call from the captain of the Holokai, a 42-foot commercial fishing vessel, stating the boat was taking on water 2 miles south of Molokaʻi at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. The men were located in a life raft and were safely hoisted and brought to shore to the air station in Kapolei.

Two Maui men — ages 18 and 20 — were rescued while hiking in Haleakalā National Park on Sunday. The alarm was received at 1:10 a.m. when firefighters were dispatched to respond to two hikers who were out of water and cold in the area of the Palikū cabin.

A 25-year-old Arizona man suffered injuries to his hip, lower back and arm after slipping and falling during a hike in the mountains of East Maui, Monday afternoon.

Maui fire crews airlifted two individuals from ʻĪao Valley State Monument who were stranded and unable to cross the river due to fast flowing and rising water Monday evening.  

Three individuals were airlifted from ʻĪao Valley State Park on Thursday evening. The rescued individuals included: a 34-year-old Lahaina man, a 27-year-old Texas man, and a 14-year-old girl from Texas.

All three were transported by the Emergency Medical Service for treatment of injuries. Fire officials say one woman suffered lacerations, one had an arm injury, and the man had injuries to his head and neck. All were described as visitors in their mid-20s.

A 51-year-old woman from Nāpili, Maui, is in stable condition, but exhausted after being rescued in waters off of West Maui this morning following an overnight search.

A teen was airlifted to safety on Friday morning, after becoming stuck on a ledge at Uaoa Bay in the Haʻikū-Paʻuwela area of Maui.

A 34-year-old man was rescued from the blow hole area at Nākālele Point on Sunday, after suffering an injury in a fall at the location.
