Maui firefighters responded to two brush fires overnight—one in Haʻikū, and the other along the Kūihelani Highway in Central Maui.
Maui Fire Department Promotes Michael Werner to Assistant Chief
The Maui Department of Fire & Public Safety announced the promotion of Michael Werner to the rank of Assistant Chief. A badge pinning ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Kahului Fire Station. Werner is a veteran firefighter, most recently serving as Battalion Chief. Prior to that was promoted to Captain in 2011.
Maui Fire Dept Promotes Kino to Battalion Chief
The Maui Fire Department announced the promotion of Kaulana Kino to Battalion Chief. Kino, a 16-year veteran, joined the department in 2002.
Danley Promoted to Maui Fire Battalion Chief
The Maui Department of Fire and Public Safety announced the promotion of Guy Danley to the rank of Battalion Chief.
