Maui Public Art Corps has opened its Fall 2025 Call to Artists, inviting creatives to transform authentic community stories into site-specific, participatory public artworks that reflect the history, culture and identity of Maui County. 

King’s Tide Lahaina is not your typical tattoo studio. Founded by tattoo artist Justin Blake, the space combines custom tattooing, professional laser removal, a curated art gallery, and an event venue—creating a welcoming gathering place for Maui’s creative community.

Maui’s young artists are shining at the Hui No‘eau Youth Art Exhibition 2025. The exhibition is bursting with creativity, color and imagination. From bold paintings to intricate sculptures, every piece tells the story of curiosity, learning and self-expression.

Artists are invited to explore Maui watersheds and use their creative talents to raise awareness about the importance of protecting native species.

On the eve of the second anniversary of the Lahaina wildfires, Maui-based artist Rafael Pereda is unveiling his latest work: “Tribute to Lahaina,” a 30” x 60” painting created in honor of the town he called home for more than two decades.

Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center proudly presents “Sally French: Welcome to My World’” a retrospective exhibition highlighting the prolific and influential career of celebrated Kauaʻi artist Sally French. Maui artist Challys Pascual has won the Jurors’ Choice Award for the Schaefer Portrait Challenge 2025 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

A signature of Maui Arts and Cultural Center, the Schaefer Portrait Challenge, has been held as a triennial since 2003. This year’s challenge will mark the eighth iteration of this statewide juried exhibition, which presents the unique diversity of the people of the Hawaiian Islands through explorations in portraiture.

The Meet the Artist series returns today from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Sandbar in the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. The event was created in the wake of the devastating wildfire that tragically impacted Lahaina.

Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center’s annual Hui Holidays shopping event returns from Nov. 22 through Dec. 24.

Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center and East Maui Watershed Partnership (EMWP) have announced its call to Maui artists of all ages to submit artwork for the 20th annual Mālama Wao Akua Exhibition. 

Applications are open for artists 18 years and older, who are residents of the state of Hawai‘i, and want to enter portraits into a statewide juried art exhibition, a signature exhibition of Schaefer International Gallery at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC), that occurs once every three years.
