The 2026 Maui County Fair will offer opportunities for community members of all ages to participate in contests, competitions and exhibitions when the 99th fair returns Oct. 1-4,. Opportunities range from the Healthy Baby Contest for Maui’s youngest keiki to student competitions featuring agriculture, filmmaking and Esports, as well as fiber arts and animal exhibitions.

The Maui County Special Fair Day will return to Wailuku on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, for a private event dedicated to Maui Nui community members with intellectual and developmental disabilities, according to an announcement by Mayor Richard Bissen. Volunteers are being sought for the celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at War Memorial Special Events Complex.

The beloved Maui County Fair Parade, presented by Maui Land & Pineapple Company Inc. and supported by the County of Maui, will kick off the 99th Maui Fair on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Maui County Council members unanimously adopted Tuesday two resolutions approving special events permits for the 2026 Maui County Fair and the Aloha Classic Windsurfing Tournament.

Mayor Richard Bissen signed into law Friday morning an approximately $1.61 billion fiscal year 2027 budget, officially closing a public and Maui County Council review process that began March 25.

The 99th Maui County Fair takes place on Oct. 1-4 after a successful return last year following a six year hiatus. The fair will be held at War Memorial Special Events Complex in Wailuku, and nonprofit food vendors and product and services exhibitors are encouraged to apply by May 15, 2026.

Mayor Richard T. Bissen, Jr. announced today, Nov. 8, 2025, that he will seek re-election to continue serving the people of Maui County, emphasizing steadfast leadership, community collaboration, and long-term resilience as the foundation of his 2026 campaign.

The 98th Maui County Fair drew more than 115,000 fairgoers to the War Memorial Stadium Complex in Wailuku over four days from Oct. 2-5, 2025. It marked a return of the event following a six year absence.

An estimate 30,000 people attended the 98th Maui County Fair on Thursday’s opening day, according to fair organizers. The historic return of the Maui County Fair kicked off festivities with the traditional parade up Kaʻahumanu Avenue.

An estimated 3,000 people participated in the 98th Maui County Fair Parade as thousands more watched the parade unfold along Kaʻahumanu Avenue. The parade kicked off the four-day event at War Memorial Stadium Complex, which returns to the Valley Isle after a six year hiatus.

To ensure safety and efficiency for 98th Maui County Fair participants and area motorists, the County of Maui has coordinated free shuttle services, free and paid parking areas, rideshare sites and traffic impacts for the event from Oct. 2-5, 2025, at the War Memorial Special Events Complex in Wailuku.

Early photos of the 98th Maui County Fair have surfaced, and by the looks of it, we’re in for a full fair experience. This could easily be the biggest fair in the state this year—as it should be; Maui is nō ka ʻoi again.

With support from the County of Maui, the Maui County Fair is offering special boat rides and shuttle services to help residents of Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i join in this year’s festivities.

Four days of live music, hula and comedy by local performers will be part of the entertainment lineup for the Maui County Fair, which will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, to Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, at the War Memorial Special Events Complex in Wailuku.

A Special Fair Day for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mobility impairment and members of the Deaf community will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, as part of the Maui County Fair. The event at the War Memorial Special Events Complex will include rides, games and live entertainment.

The popular, longtime Healthy Baby Contest will return to the Maui County Fair at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, on the War Memorial Special Events Complex entertainment stage.

After a six-year pause, the Maui County Fair is making its long-awaited return, and with it comes the Fiber Arts Show. The Fiber Arts Show is an event that celebrates the creativity and skill of Maui’s makers, from seasoned artisans to emerging talent. The entry deadline is on Sept. 19.

The Maui County Fair is back Oct. 2-5 at the War Memorial Complex after a six-year absence, but organizers are now faced with the challenge of fundraising an additional $500,000 for infrastructure beyond the $1.5 million already allocated by the Maui County Council.
