Monday Morning MIL: Football returns to traditional schedule for the first time since the fires

The league will use the eight-game, two-round system to determine Division I and Division II state tournament berths after two seasons of unbalanced schedules were needed due to the Aug. 8, 2023, fires and the expansion to a six-team league that included Moloka’i in 2024.

RJ Arconado of Lahainaluna High School was named Top Maui County Scholar, and Ciana Cooper of Maui High School earned the prestigious title of Top Overall Female Scholar in the state. Both students were recognized for their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community service.

7 Maui student-athletes among 41 scholarship recipients from Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation

Of the 41 local athletes to receive scholarship support from the foundation this year, seven were from Maui including: Kalia Kaneta and Kaysa Ong of Maui High School; Avery Kirkham of Maui Preparatory Academy; Kamakanōweo Kekauoha-Schultz and Bella Kuailani of King Kekaulike High School; and Kaili McMillin and Sage Ryden of Seabury Hall Academy.
