The upcoming Kīhei 4th Friday Town Party takes place on Feb. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Azeka Shopping Center Mauka.

More than 500 guests gathered on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 19, to celebrate the Lunar New Year at The Shops at Wailea.

The Maui Chinese New Year Festival returns to Maui Mall Village on Feb. 21 to celebrate the Year of the Horse with lion dances, cultural demonstrations and local food.

The public is invited to a Chinese New Year celebration, including lion dancers and martial arts, at 9 a.m. Feb. 20, 2026, on the front lawn of the County of Maui Kalana O Maui Building in Wailuku.

Lahaina Cannery welcomes the community back for its annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Friday, Feb. 20. This year, the enter rings in the Year of the Horse with an afternoon packed with a traditional performance, hands-on activities and family-friendly fun that captures the spirit of the season.

Wailuku First Friday returns on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., with a vibrant Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, highlighted by a traditional Lion Dance performance by Tao Style Martial Arts Academy. This free, family-friendly event brings together music, culture, food, art, and community in the heart of historic Wailuku Town.

Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center celebrates the Lunar New Year with a family event, Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

This week on Maui, there’s major tribute concerts to Jimmy Buffet with Jake Shimabukuro and songwriter Mac McAnnaly, and a Willie K Tribute by Makana. There’s also events celebrating Mardi Gras, Valentines Day, Chinese New Year and a football viewing for the weekend.

This week on Maui, there are concerts by award-winning country singer Brett Young and legendary reggae band The Abyssinians, a public display of the Mobile Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the award-winning musical Daddy Long Legs. Coming Soon: Chinese New Year, rocking bluesman Popa Chubby.

Maui Mall Village and the Maui Chinese New Year Festival invite kamaʻāina and visitors to celebrate the Year of the Dragon with family-friendly cultural experiences, including food and craft booths, demonstrations, displays and music on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The County of Maui invites the public to a Chinese New Year Lion Dance performance at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27 on the front lawn of Kalana O Maui, County Building, in Wailuku.

Lahaina Cannery’s special event is led by Maui Taiko and O’ahu’s enigmatic Au’s Shaolin Arts Society, which will usher in the “Year of the Rabbit.”

Queen Kaʻahumanu Center kicks off the new year with two upcoming events. Enjoy Kama‘āina Nights on Friday, Jan. 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Center Court with performances by Kalama Intermediate ʻukulele students and headliner, Dillon Pakele. A celebration for the Year of the Rabbit with AuShaolin Arts will also be held on Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2–3:30 p.m. with a lion dance performance and fireworks.

Lahaina Restoration Foundation invites the public to the Wo Hing Museum & Cookhouse on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 for an evening of cultural art activities, lion dancing and historical presentations that pay tribute to Chinese New Year.

In honor of the traditional Chinese New Year, Maui Mall Village will host a Year of the Tiger Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022.

Queen Kaʻahumanu Center celebrates the Chinese New Year of the Rat on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2019 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The annual, high energy celebration consists of a martial arts presentation, firecrackers and colorful lion dance by Au’s Shaolin Arts Society.

In celebration of the Year of the Rat, which has now officially begun, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua will feature curated offerings inspired by the Lunar New Year on Thursday, Jan. 30. 

The public is invited to the Wo Hing Museum & Cookhouse on Lahaina’s Front Street for an evening of cultural activities, lion dancing, and historical presentations to pay tribute to the Chinese New Year.
