‘Ohana by Hawaiian Passenger Flights to Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i Extended Through At Least Mid-January

Hawaiian Airlines today announced it will continue to provide ‘Ohana by Hawaiian passenger flights between Honolulu and both Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i through at least mid-January 2021. Earlier this month Hawaiian announced the need to suspend both routes on Nov. 1.

Hawaiian Airlines to Suspend ‘Ohana by Hawaiian Service

Hawaiian Airlines today announced it will temporarily suspend ‘Ohana by Hawaiian passenger and cargo services effective Nov. 1. Hawaiian, which reduced its workforce by nearly 2,500 employees this month when the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Payroll Support Program expired, will suspend its ‘Ohana by Hawaiian passenger flights between Honolulu and Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i, as well as cargo-only service within the Hawaiian Islands. Service between HNL and Kapalua in West Maui was suspended in March.

The Board of The Oʻahu Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association together with the organizing committee of Nā Wāhine O Ke Kai announced their decision today to cancel this year’s championship canoe races: the “Hawaiian Airlines Nā Wāhine O Ke Kai” scheduled for Sept. 27, 2020; and “Hawaiian Airlines Molokaʻi Hoe” scheduled on Oct. 11, 2020.
