The Native Hawaiian farmer is one of three female entrepreneurs who recently won a $10,000 grant from Dove Chocolate, a news release said. The grant will help fund the Polipoli Farms food hub, and the project is seeking public support through Indiegogo crowdfunding. 

41 new DOCARE officers start work today

After eight months of training in disciplines combining classroom work and intense field exercises, the new Hawai‘i Conservation Resources Enforcement Officers will deploy to four DOCARE branches: O‘ahu (14), Hawai‘i Island (14), Maui (7), and Kaua‘i (6).
