Maui Mayor Michael Victorino tested negative for COVID-19 this weekend after meeting days earlier in-person with three unvaccinated Maui County residents opposed to state and county emergency public health rules. Two of the three residents later tested positive for COVID-19, according to a press release issued by the Mayor’s office this afternoon.

West Maui Group Secures Agreement with Proposed Solar Project in Kahana

BlackSand Capital Taps Highgate to Operate the Royal Lahaina Resort

Maui Mayor Michael Victorino proclaimed Oct. 11, 2021 National Coming Out Day in the County of Maui.  The proclamation raises awareness of the LGBTQ+ community and coincides with the annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender History Month. 

UH to Require COVID-19 Vaccination for All Employees in 2022

The University of Hawaiʻi announced a mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for employees that goes into effect on Jan. 3, 2022. Under the new policy, all UH employees, including those who are teleworking, will be required to be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus OR have an approved medical or religious exemption for the vaccine.
