Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) is launching the final phase of its $15 million capital campaign to create the Main Street Arts Project, MAPA’s new performing arts campus in Wailuku. This project is the culmination of MAPA’s decades-long dream to own its own home and revitalize Wailuku through the arts.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents singer/songwriter Justin Kawika Young in a MACC “Local Voices” concert in the McCoy Studio Theater Thursday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale online only to MACC members on May 8, and to the general public May 9.

Maui Public Art Corps, in collaboration with the Maui Historical Society, the County of Maui and University of Hawaiʻi Foundation, has announced a new series of three large-scale murals at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College.

The wāhine of Hula Hālau ʻO Kamuela under the direction of Kumu Kunewa Mook and Kauʻionālani Kamanaʻo won the overall title at the 62nd Annual Merrie Monarch Festival, in Hilo Hawaiʻi.

The Shops at Wailea will host a full schedule of live music throughout May, continuing its tradition of offering free performances that highlight local talent and community connection.
