After a two-year hiatus, the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards is back in front of a live audience to celebrate the best in Hawaiʻi’s recording industry.

Maui musician, Kaleo Phillips is the featured performer at the upcoming edition of the Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s free Hawaiian Music Series happening on Thursday, July 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the Baldwin Home Museum.

Multiple Grammy winner George Kahumoku will be entertaining at a fundraiser at the Maui Coffee Attic on Saturday, July 23, to help the nonprofit Lokelani ʻOhana expand its services to adults with disabilities.

Upon panel selection, artists will be invited to create a collaborative work of public art, including performance, visual or experiential works, with community members that aligns with ‘ōlelo from Mary Kawena Pukui’s ‘Ōlelo No‘eau: Hawaiian Proverbs and Political Sayings.

The 2022 Maui Film Festival presents Stardust Cinema featuring 13 Maui premieres including several ‘surprise’ titles over five nights under the stars at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
