The Maui farming company is seeking to take over an unresolved HC&S request to divert over 30 million gallons of water from Maui streams daily.

The Hana Highway has been reopened as of 7:56 p.m. A downed tree has since been removed and is no longer blocking the road.

The petition urges the county to settle the legal case involving it’s Lahaina wastewater treatment plant and withdraw it’s appeal to the US Supreme Court.

Maui County officials said while a normal wet season may be on its way, for now Upcountry Maui will continue to be in under a Stage 1 Water Shortage. 

The program is focused on facilitating health insurance enrollment for those who are uninsured or under insured.  The program has an emphasis on people from Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau
