164 New COVID-19 Cases (147 O‘ahu, 3 Maui, 14 Hawai‘i Island), 1 More Death

There were 164 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 147 on O‘ahu, three on Maui and 14 on Hawai‘i Island. 

221 New COVID-19 Cases (191 O‘ahu, 5 Maui, 24 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Out of State), 3 More Deaths

There were 221 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 191 on O‘ahu, five on Maui, 24 on Hawai‘i Island and one in a resident who was diagnosed outside of the state. Also, as a result of updated information, one case from Honolulu was removed from the counts.

271 New COVID-19 Cases (236 O‘ahu, 1 Maui, 34 Hawai‘i Island), 2 More Deaths

There were 271 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 236 on O‘ahu, one on Maui and 34 on Hawai‘i Island. Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 death toll rises to 81 with the passing of two more residents.

211 New COVID-19 Cases (190 O‘ahu, 4 Maui, 17 Hawai‘i Island), 4 O‘ahu Deaths

There were 211 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 190 on O‘ahu four on Maui and 17 on Hawai‘i Island.   There were also four deaths linked to COVID-19 in Hawai‘i today, all on O‘ahu, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 79. Details are pending release.

339 New COVID-19 Cases, Includes 90 Cases From Delayed Reporting (302 O‘ahu, 2 Maui, 35 Hawai‘i Island)

There were 339 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 302 on O‘ahu and two on Maui and 34 on Hawai‘i Island.  Today’s case count includes 90 previously diagnosed cases from between Aug. 20 and 31.  State Health officials say the reporting was delayed as the result of an error in lab reporting that has subsequently been corrected. There was one death linked to COVID-19 in Hawai‘i today on O‘ahu, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 75.

There were four deaths linked to COVID-19 in Hawai‘i today, including three fatalities on O‘ahu and one on Hawai‘i Island, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 74. There were 181 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 157 on O‘ahu and five on Maui and 19 on Hawai‘i Island.

7 COVID-19 Deaths Today Marking Deadliest Day for Hawai‘i Since Pandemic Began

There were seven deaths linked to COVID-19 in Hawai‘i today, marking the deadliest day for the state since the pandemic began.  There were 133 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 107 on O‘ahu, one on Maui and 24 on Hawai‘i Island and one resident out of state.

200 New COVID-19 Cases (174 O‘ahu, 4 Maui, 22 Hawai‘i Island); 1 More O‘ahu Death

There were 200 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 174 on O‘ahu, four on Maui and 22 on Hawai‘i Island. There was also one more death linked to COVID-19 on O‘ahu, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 63. Maui has four additional cases for a cumulative total of 334.

310 New COVID-19 Cases (263 O‘ahu, 7 Maui, 39 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Kaua‘i); 3 More O‘ahu Deaths

There were 310 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 263 on O‘ahu, seven on Maui, 39 on Hawai‘i Island and one on Kaua‘i.   There were also three more deaths linked to COVID-19, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 62. The deaths include three on O‘ahu. Maui has seven additional cases for a cumulative total of 330.

265 New COVID-19 Cases (233 O‘ahu, 6 Maui, 26 Hawai‘i Island); 4 More Deaths (3 O‘ahu, 1 Maui)

There were 265 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 233 on O‘ahu, six on Maui, and 26 on Hawai‘i Island. Maui has six additional cases for a cumulative total of 324. Clusters on Maui include at least 27 cases at the Roselani Place assisted living facility and 66 associated with the Maui Memorial Medical Center.

306 New COVID-19 Cases (289 O‘ahu, 7 Maui, 10 Hawai‘i Island); Four More O‘ahu Deaths

There were 306 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 289 on O‘ahu, seven on Maui, and 10 on Hawai‘i Island.  There were also four more O‘ahu deaths linked to COVID-19, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 55.

While there are indications that infections in Honolulu are beginning to stabilize and even decrease slightly, health officials are expressing concerns about growing activity on Maui and Hawai‘i island.

215 New COVID-19 Cases (201 O‘ahu, 3 Maui, 11 Hawai‘i Island)

Recent clusters on Maui have included: 66 cases linked to Maui Memorial Medical Center; 20 cases at the  Roselani Place assisted-living community in Kahului; a construction site; and a number of cases were also related to gatherings that Maui residents attended on Oʻahu.

There are 169 new COVID-19 cases in Hawaiʻi today including: 150 on Oʻahu, 10 on Maui and nine on Hawaiʻi Island. The state Department of Health reports that there were two additional deaths on the island of O‘ahu, bringing the total over the course of the pandemic to 49.

248 New COVID-19 Cases (228 O‘ahu, 12 Maui, 8 Hawai‘i Island)

There are 248 new COVID-19 cases in Hawaiʻi today including: 228 on Oʻahu, 12 on Maui and eight on Hawaiʻi Island. This marks the 20th consecutive day that the daily count has been in the triple digits.  More than 96% of the active cases statewide are on the island of Oʻahu.

284 New COVID-19 Cases (259 O‘ahu, 15 Hawai‘i Island, 10 Maui); One More O‘ahu Death

There are 284 new COVID-19 cases in Hawaiʻi today including: 259 on Oʻahu, 15 on Hawaiʻi Island and 10 on Maui.  One of the Maui cases yesterday was on the island of Molokaʻi. The state Department of Health reports that an O‘ahu resident is the state’s 47th COVID-19 death. Details are pending release. This marks the 19th consecutive day that the daily count has been in the triple digits, with a record breaking 355 cases reported on Thursday, Aug. 13.  More than 96% of the active cases statewide are on the island of Oʻahu.

230 New COVID-19 Cases (209 O‘ahu, 13 Hawai‘i Island, 6 Maui, 2 Kaua‘i); One More O‘ahu Death

There are 230 new COVID-19 cases in Hawaiʻi today including: 209 on Oʻahu, 13 on Hawaiʻi Island, six on Maui and two on Kauaʻi. Of the 269 cases in Maui County, at least 166 have been released from isolation, and 35 have required hospitalization.  Based on the current numbers, there are 96 active cases in Maui County.

236 New COVID-19 Cases in Hawai‘i; State Logs Deaths on O‘ahu and Maui

The state has reported another triple digit increase in new COVID-19 cases with 236 new cases today including 230 on Oʻahu, one on Maui and five on Hawaiʻi Island.

261 New COVID-19 Cases in Hawai‘i (233 O‘ahu, 20 Maui, 7 Hawai‘i Island); One More Death on O‘ahu

The state has reported another triple digit increase in new COVID-19 cases with 261 new cases today including 233 on Oʻahu, 20 on Maui and seven on Hawaiʻi Island. More than 96% of the active cases statewide are on the island of Oʻahu. The state is also reporting another death today of an individual on O‘ahu.  This is the 42nd COVID-19 death since the start of the pandemic.

BREAKING: Pre-Travel COVID-19 Testing Program for Trans-Pacific Visitors Delayed to Oct. 1 at the Earliest

Governor David Ige this afternoon announced a delay in the start of the state’s pre-travel testing program to October 1, 2020.   This pushes the perviously announced Sept. 1 date to October 1, 2020 at the earliest.  Gov. Ige said he will continue to monitor key markets on the mainland and here in Hawaiʻi.
