Matson expands support for Hawaiʻi Foodbank and local families

To help Hawaiʻi Foodbank meet rising demand across the islands, Matson has increased its support for Hawaiʻi families in need by adding 100 containers to its existing pledge of in-kind shipping services for 400 containers annually through 2027 to serve Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s program for purchasing and transporting large quantities of food from the continental US.

Maui Rotary clubs rally community to help Maui Food Bank provide 5,400 holiday meals

In a show of community support, six Rotary Clubs across Maui helped Maui Food Bank collect enough donations to provide 5,443 meals during this year’s Holiday Food Drive on Saturday, Nov. 15. Volunteers were stationed at every Safeway location on the island from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., encouraging shoppers to give what they could during a season of rising need.

Matson delivers $1.5M in shipping support to feed Maui families through Maui Food Bank

Through charitable shipping contributions valued at more than $1.55 million, Matson has donated freight services to transport 156 shipping containers carrying food and essential supplies to Maui since 2022, thereby making it one of Maui Food Bank’s largest and most impactful partners.

Community food distribution set for residents impacted by federal shutdown

In response to the ongoing impacts of the federal government shutdown, volunteers across Maui have come together to host Operation Kokua Maui ʻOhana, a community food distribution taking place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard Armory, 230th Engineer Company. It is located at 2701 Maui Veterans Highway.
