Santa Claus will arrive at The Shops at Wailea on Friday, Nov. 28, kicking off a full day of holiday festivities including a parade, a Polynesian performance, family activities and free photos with Santa.

The Shops at Wailea commemorates its 25th anniversary this November with a month-long celebration that honors its legacy as both a luxury destination and cultural gathering place.

An estimated 3,000 people participated in the 98th Maui County Fair Parade as thousands more watched the parade unfold along Kaʻahumanu Avenue. The parade kicked off the four-day event at War Memorial Stadium Complex, which returns to the Valley Isle after a six year hiatus.

The Shops at Wailea invites families and visitors to celebrate the magic of the season with the arrival of Santa on Friday, Nov. 29.

To cap off Friday’s community-inspired events honoring Lahaina, upwards of 500 people attended “Puana Aloha no Lahaina” at the Lahaina Civic Center on Friday night.

This week on Maui, the band Kanekoa is performing at a benefit concert for Maui wildfire victims, the free annual Jimi Hendrix tribute takes place in Pāʻia and for the observance of World AIDS Day there is “Music For Hope” at the ʻĪao Theatre. Find our comprehensive listing HERE.

Grammy nominee and multi Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona has reached a milestone in his hula career – 20 years of teaching hula. 

Grammy-nominated producer, singer/songwriter, and co-founder/CEO of Haku Collective, Kimié Miner, is set to bring her “Christmas in Hawai‘i: Kimié Miner & Friends Tour” to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16. The concert will also feature Kalani Peʻa, Nāpua Greig and Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka O Uka with special guest, Paula Fuga.

Three time Grammy Winner Kalani Pe’a has released a new Christmas Album titled “Purple Hawaiian Christmas.” Along with the new release Pe’a will be taking his new music on tour to: Beaverton, Seattle, Berkeley, Honolulu, Kailua-Kona and the Kohala Coast on Hawaiʻi Island.

The 30th Anniversary edition of the Hula O Nā Keiki children’s hula competition takes place Thursday Nov. 10 through Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel in West Maui.

The Festivals of Aloha heads to Wailea with events scheduled from Oct. 28-30, 2022 at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.

In celebration of 20 years of the Richard Hoʻopi‘i Leo Ki’eki’e Falsetto Contest, Festivals of Aloha along with Haku Records present a legacy music project entitled, ʻHawaiian Falsetto Vol 1ʻ. The compilation features contest champions, judges and even a song from the namesake himself, Richard Ho‘opi‘i.

Maui’s Kalani Peʻa earned the 2022 GRAMMY for his junior album, “Kau Ka Peʻa,” which was considered in the Best Regional Roots Music Album category.

The 2022 Prince Kūhiō Maui Ho’olaule’a happens in person, Friday, March 25, 2022, from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. The event is free and open to the public and features free keiki activities, workshops, Hawaiian music and hula.
