Maui Behavioral Health Resources conducted its annual meeting and board officer installation ceremony on June 4, 2026 at its offices in Makawao.

Maui youth will enjoy a special shopping day at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center this Thursday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m. as the culmination of Ledcor Maui’s Makana no nā Keiki gift drive. The second annual “Gifts for Children” drive raised $105,000 for Maui youth, and was made possible by the generous giving of Ledcor and community partners, in partnership with nonprofit ʻĀina Momona. 

As many wildfire survivors struggle with adapting to the changes in their lives, Maui Behavioral Health Resources is hosting free supportive groups and activities for women, families and individuals in West Maui.

A new resource for women who have been affected by the Maui wildfire disaster is coming to Central Maui.

Kaiser Permanente Hawaiʻi announced the selection of its new president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals Hawaiʻi, Edmund “Ed” Chan. Chan’s roots in Hawaiʻi began early in his career. In 2000, after completing his Registered Dietitian training in Boston, he accepted a position as a clinical dietitian for Hale Makua Health Services in Kahului, Maui. Chan also took on roles at the Community Clinic of Maui and served as a consultant dietitian to Maui Youth & Family Services.

The program helps youth who are not able to receive care in their own home but can achieve stability and growth in a caring atmosphere where they can receive parental supervision, guidance and support.

More than 100 youth and administrators from three local nonprofits gathered at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center on Dec. 18 as the guests of honor of Ledcor Maui. The festive event was the culmination of a month-long gift drive by Ledcor Maui called Makana no nā Keiki (Gifts for Children), which raised $100,000 for Maui youth. 

Maui Behavioral Health Resources is looking to hire several positions to better serve the community’s behavioral health needs during the aftermath of the tragic fires.

These funds benefit Maui Youth & Family Services programs, including mental health and substance abuse treatment, emergency shelter and therapeutic foster homes, outreach and advocacy, independent living and substance use prevention programs.

The nonprofit Maui Youth & Family Services is the recipient of a $4,000 donation from Ledcor Maui LP, a division of Ledcor Group. The gift comes as part of the Ledcor Group’s 75th anniversary celebration.
