Maui nonprofit Binhi at Ani will award scholarships to 26 Maui County students in the Class of 2024. The three top-rated students will receive $2,000 while 23 students will receive $1,000.

Binhi at Ani, an organization dedicated to promoting education, awards 25 scholarships to the Class of 2023.

Binhi at Ani’s summer program, “Summer at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center,” offers a variety of free classes starting from June 26.

The 54th Annual Barrio Fiesta will be held at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului on Friday, May 26 (5 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and Saturday, May 27 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.).

Nareit Hawaiʻi awarded a $30,000 grant to the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center to support the expansion of its Bayanihan Feeding Program, the beneficiaries of which are seniors on fixed incomes who have free meals prepared and delivered to them at home. 

Binhi at Ani will award 23 scholarships to the Class of 2022, with the top-rated scholar receiving $2,000 and 22 other students receiving $1,000.  

The 11th Bayanihan Food Distribution of the year will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului.

The 52nd Annual Barrio Fiesta will be a hybrid event, consisting of a virtual broadcast on Facebook, and a drive-by food component to fundraise for the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center. 

At Binhi at Ani’s recent annual meeting, Melen Agcolicol, owner of Copy Services, was re-elected as President and Michelle Balala, educator at Kahului Elementary School, was elected as Vice President.

Binhi at Ani will award 21 scholarships to the Class of 2021, with the three top-rated students will receive $2,000 and 18 other students will receive $1,000.

Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center will host two more free COVID-19 vaccination clinics on May 29 and June 26.

Kea Street – between Papa Avenue and Holua Drive – will be closed from 7 a.m .to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 for the 10th Bayanihan Food Distribution at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului.

The 10th Bayanihan Food Distribution for the public will be Saturday, March 13, starting at 9 am, at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului.

The Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center, in partnership with the Maui Food Bank, has launched a community service project “Bayanihan Feeding Program” for Hale Mahaolu Residents in Central Maui.

A Thanksgiving Bayanihan Food Distribution will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 9 am at the War Memorial Gymnasium Parking Lot in Wailuku.

A sixth Bayanihan food distribution will be held Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului. The drive-through food distribution is open to the public and will begin at 9 am and continue until the supplies of produce and assorted groceries are gone.

The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation issued scholarship awards to 19 Maui students as part of it’s Gintong Pamana Leadership and Scholarship Awards.

The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce announced four recipients of the Gintong Pamana Leadership Award.

The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce installed and announced this year’s board of directors during its annual installation banquet.
