Nov. 11, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 118 New Cases (85 O‘ahu, 23 Hawai‘i Island, 6 Maui, 3 Kaua‘i, 1 Out of State)

There were 118 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 85 on O‘ahu, 23 on Hawai‘i Island, six on Maui, one on Kaua‘i and one in a Hawai‘i resident diagnosed outside of the state. The cases on Maui included at least one case each in Kahului, Wailuku and Lahaina, and two cases in Kīhei.

Maui County Farmers and Ranchers Urged to Apply for Available $2.5 Million in CARES Act Funding

Mayor Michael Victorino is urging Maui County farmers and ranchers to apply for $2.5 million in available federal funds for reimbursement of expenses for losses related to COVID-19 and for food sustainability.

6,000 Thanksgiving Turkeys to go to Maui Residents Impacted by COVID-19

Lāna‘i Stay-at-Home Order to be Lifted, Transition to ‘Safer At Home’ Starts Nov. 12

Mayor Michael Victorino announced today that Maui County has received approval from the Governor to issue a “Safer At Home” order for Lānaʻi residents and visitors, beginning Thursday, Nov. 12.

Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing in Hāna on Wednesday, Nov. 18

Drive-through COVID-19 testing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hāna Ball Park in East Maui.

Nov. 10, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 78 New Cases (62 O‘ahu, 5 Maui, 4 Hawai‘i Island, 7 Out of State); 1 Death

There were 78 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 62 on O‘ahu, five on Maui, four on Hawai‘i Island, and seven in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The cases on Maui included two each in Kīhei and Wailuku and one Haʻikū.

Hawai‘i Health Department Launches Safe Gatherings Campaign for the Holidays

To show how to gather safely for the holidays with ‘ohana, friends and co-workers, the Hawai‘i Department of Health has produced a new campaign called “How to Gather. For Real.” The campaign offers practical guidance that follows COVID-19 recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing on Friday, Nov. 13, in Pukalani

Drive-through COVID-19 testing will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the upper parking lot of the Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani.

Nov. 9, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 64 New Cases (53 O‘ahu, 4 Hawai‘i Island, 2 Kaua‘i, 5 Out of State)

DOH recorded 64 additional cases of COVID-19 in the reporting period that ended at noon today. The majority are on O‘ahu with 53 new cases. No additional deaths were reported today.

$1.8 Million Headed To Hawai‘i To Help Renters Who Lost Income Due To Pandemic

US Senator Brian Schatz of Hawai‘i announced that Hawai‘i will receive $1,820,264 in federal funding to support the Housing Choice Voucher program. These funds will help support rental assistance programs for current voucher holders who lost their job or saw a significant reduction in income due to the pandemic.

Hawai‘i County Scales Back on Post-Arrival Testing

Hawaiʻi County is scaling back its post-arrival testing program citing logistics, and the the unsustainability of financial and resource commitments necessary to continue this program in its current form.

Nov. 7, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 128 New Cases (108 O‘ahu, 11 Hawai‘i Island, 2 Maui, 2 Kaua‘i, 5 Out of State)

There were 128 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 108 on O‘ahu, 11 on Hawai‘i Island, two on Maui, two on Kauaʻi and five in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The new Maui cases included one each in Kahului and Haʻikū, according to map changes documented by the State Department of Health. Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 death toll increased to at 220 with one additional death reported today on the island of O‘ahu. Details are pending release.

Moloka‘i had no new cases today. The new Maui cases included: 3 in Kahului, and one each in Kīhei, Haʻikū and Spreckelsville, according to map changes documented by the State Department of Health.

61 Mask Citations Issued Over Five Days on Maui, Enforcement Continues Through Nov. 15
