The State of Hawai‘i has added new trusted partners for its domestic transpacific and inter-county pre-travel testing programs. The state will accept COVID-19 test results from the new partners starting Nov. 17.

There were 108 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 90 on O‘ahu, 12 on Hawai‘i Island, one on Maui, three on Kaua‘i and two in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. Lānaʻi and Moloka‘i had no new cases on Friday.

There were 110 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Friday, including 92 on O‘ahu, eight on Hawai‘i Island, one on Maui, two on Kaua‘i and seven in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. Lānaʻi and Moloka‘i had no new cases on Friday.

The resort footage will be edited into a series of travel stories released on Facebook through the New Year in an effort to re-introduce Maui’s first master-planned resort to the world.

Maui Police issued 264 citations for face mask violations over a two week period between Oct. 30 and Nov. 12.  County officials say 209 were issued to residents and 55 were to visitors.

Two Maui properties, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in Kāʻanapali and Wailea Beach Villas, A Destination Hotel, opened on Oct. 15. On Nov. 1, the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort began welcoming guests back; and next week Friday, Nov. 20, the Hāna-Maui Resort is slated to open.

The onset of COVID required MHS to temporarily stop performing elective surgeries like spay and neuter for public animals. The ten week hiatus meant that more kittens were born, adding to Maui’s community cat overpopulation. Since reopening in July, Vet staff have worked to make up for the disruption in service.

This year, 17 businesses raised $16,350 and 3,557 pounds of food, which combined will provide 36,968 meals to individuals and families across the organization’s network.

Mayor Michael Victorino announced that the County of Maui, in partnership with Maui Economic Opportunity, will provide 6,000 Thanksgiving turkeys and fixings to residents impacted by COVID-19.

There were 78 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 62 on O‘ahu, five on Maui, four on Hawai‘i Island, and seven in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The cases on Maui included two each in Kīhei and Wailuku and one Haʻikū.

The Department of Health reports that an inspector visited the restaurant after receiving a complaint from a customer that reported finding a roach in crispy noodles purchased from the restaurant.

DOH recorded 64 additional cases of COVID-19 in the reporting period that ended at noon today. The majority are on O‘ahu with 53 new cases. No additional deaths were reported today.
