Whale Trust hosts the 19th Annual Whale Tales event, taking place Feb. 13-17 at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua. Maui Ocean Center to host monthly sleepovers, starting Feb. 28

Children ages 7 to 12 and their chaperones are invited to “Sleep in the Deep” at the aquarium’s 750,000-gallon Open Ocean exhibit. The sleepover includes a bedtime movie with snacks in the Makai Theater along with a continental breakfast and a private showing of the “Humpbacks of Hawai‘i” 3D film the following morning. 

Kā‘anapali and First Tee Hawai‘i to host Maui Junior Golf Kickoff

Ahead of the 2025 edition of The Sentry, Kā‘anapali Golf Courses and First Tee Hawai‘i will host a free interactive event for juniors aged 3 to 18 in support of First Tee Hawai‘i. All are welcome on Dec. 30, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Kā‘anapali driving range. Golf clubs for juniors will also be available for use. A Q&A will be hosted by NBC Sports/Golf Channel analyst, First Tee Hawai‘i board member and longtime Maui resident, Mark Rolfing.

Maui County residents can help with donations of cash and/or new, unwrapped toys for the 2024 Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive, an annual US Marine Corps’ event sponsored locally by Minit Stop and Street Bikers United Hawaii.

Kanaloa Kahoʻolawe fundraising farm dinner at Mākena Golf & Beach Club 

Mākena Golf & Beach Club will host I Ola Kanaloa, a fundraising dinner event honoring local organizations Protect Kahoʻolawe ‘Ohana and Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission for their work towards supporting Kahoʻolawe.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the honorees.  The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mākena Golf & Beach Club’s Nāulu Farm.
