Alexander Academy opens studio at QKC; Grand re-opening set for Feb. 1
Queen Kaʻahumanu Center is excited to welcome Alexander Academy of Performing Arts, which recently relocated from Hāliʻimaile this past September. Two short films feature public artworks in Lahaina
Two project films featuring the latest public artworks in Lahaina are being release. The films were created through the collaborative Hui Mo‘olelo: Lahaina program of Maui Public Art Corps, the County of Maui, Hale Hōʻikeʻike at the Bailey House/ Maui Historical Society and the Lahaina Restoration Foundation.

Last year, Kīhei resident James Nevius—a musician, composer and playwright—released an album blending classical and ambient music called “On the Nile: A Musical Landscape in 18 Parts.” Next week, on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, “On the Nile” comes to life as a dance and theater performance at ProArts Playhouse in Kīhei.
