Due  to the continued evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Surf League (WSL) is “postponing or canceling all events, at all levels of competition, through the end of June,” WSL announced.

The organization has launched “Vertical Sports Online,” to provide virtual basketball skills training every Wednesday on Zoom at 5 p.m. 

The Hawaiʻi High School Athletic Association and its member leagues announced today a decision to cancel the remainder of the 2020 spring interscholastic sports season due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health threat.

All golf courses, clubhouses, tennis/pickleball, and practice facilities will be closed from March 25 to April 30.

The association is urging the community to follow instructions from government officials.

The Hawaiʻi High School Athletic Association in conjunction with its member leagues have collectively agreed that effective immediately, all interscholastic practices will also be added to the list of suspended activities, in addition to competition, in an effort to minimize the potential community spread of the COVID-19 virus.

As of today, all Association of Paddlesurf Professionals World Tour events are moving ahead as planned, the APP announced today.

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all interscholastic competition will be suspended indefinitely based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat.

The camp will run from June 1-5, 2020 at the new South Maui Gymnasium in Kīhei, Monday through Friday from 9 to 3 p.m.

Iron Maehara baseball stadium hosted over 100 budding young athletes on Saturday morning for the 9th annual Kurt Suzuki/All Pono baseball clinic.

Maui Mayor Michael Victorino proclaimed today, Jan. 17, 2020, “Kurt Suzuki Day” throughout the County of Maui.  The proclamation was issued during a morning press conference at the Kalana O Maui building in Wailuku.
