Two Hawai`i-based telescopes, the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope, operated by the East Asian Observatory, and the Submillimeter Array, operated by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the Academia Sinica Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, have once again combined efforts with the global network of telescopes known as the Event Horizon Telescope.

March 23, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 41 Cases (28 O‘ahu, 8 Maui, 1 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Lāna‘i, 3 Out-of-State)
The state Department of Health reports that there were 41 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Tuesday, including 28 on O‘ahu, eight on Maui, one on Hawai‘i Island, one on Lāna‘i, and three in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. There were a total of 885 cases logged over the past two weeks, 288 of them in Maui County.
