The Maui Police Department identified six more victims of the Aug. 8 Lahaina fire on Tuesday: Felimon Quijano, 61; Luz Bernabe, 64; Joel Villegas, 55; Adela Villegas, 53; Angelica Baclig, 31; and Junmark Quijano, 30. All are from Lahaina.

The Maui Police Department identified six more victims of the Aug. 8 Lahaina fire on Sunday: Michael Morinho, 61; Ediomede Pavian Castillo, 35; Alfred Rawlings, 84; Maria Victoria Recolizado, 51; Justin Recolizado, 11; and Terri Thomas, 62. All were from Lahaina.

The Maui Police Department has narrowed its list of unaccounted for individuals from the Aug. 8 Lahaina wildfire to 22 people. The updated list was released on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, and includes the following names:

Maui police revised the death toll of the individuals killed in the Aug. 8 wildfire to 97, down from previous reports of 115; and say the number of individuals unaccounted for has also dropped to 31, down from 66 last week.

Maui police request public help to file unaccounted for missing person report

As of today, Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, MPD has 110 missing person reports relating to the Lahaina wildfire, 41 of which are actively being investigated and are considered open. “As we move forward, a missing person report will be necessary to assist with this investigation,” police said.

Updated FBI list: 385 people remain unaccounted for following the Lahaina wildfire

After some names were removed and others were added, there is little change to the number of unaccounted for individuals following the Lahaina Wildfires Disaster on Aug. 8, 2023. The Maui Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation today released an updated list showing 385 individuals who have been reported unaccounted for.
