Maui Cancer Resources hosts an Integrative Oncology Workshop from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea in Kīhei. The workshop is free to all cancer patients and caregivers, and includes lunch.

Maui-based nonprofit organization, UVSC (Us Vs. Cancer), was recently selected by the well-known beauty brand, Thrive Causemetics, as a Giving Partner.

In response to the August fires on Maui, UVSC announced additional efforts to help cancer patients that are dealing with trauma and loss caused by the devastation of the fires and financial challenges from their cancer diagnosis.

The American Cancer Society estimates that approximately 2,300 cancer survivors and current cancer patients were living in the areas of Maui affected by the wildfires. To help patients deal with trauma and loss caused by their cancer diagnosis and the devastation of the fires, ACS is teaming up with Maui Cancer Resources to offer group therapy sessions.

Cancer survivors who have been impacted by the Lahaina fire can schedule free one-hour medical consultations with Dr. Bridget Bongaard, Medical Director of Maui Cancer Resources.

Maui Cancer Resources is hosting the Growing Stronger 2023 Workshop on June 10, a day-long event designed to provide support and valuable insights for individuals on their cancer journey.

The Pacific Cancer Foundation has issued its annual appeal for donations. The organization provides free support services to Maui County cancer patients and their caregivers.

The 14th annual ‘Paddle for Life’ event raised $134,512 to support Maui’s cancer patients and survivors from Oct. 8-9, 2022.

Supporters can join the Go Pink! Challenge by pledging to buy a t-shirt from your favorite public safety employee with all proceeds going to support free cancer services in Maui County.

Dedicated paddlers and supporters will be making a 22-mile, round-trip open ocean journey from North Kīhei around Molokini and back to benefit the Pacific Cancer Foundation, Oct. 8-9, 2022.

Maui’s Cancer patients are invited to attend a cancer support workshop from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2020  at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kīhei.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the previously scheduled Relay For Life of Maui County will be a virtual event and is rescheduled for Sept. 25, 26 and 27, 2020 as a livestream event starting at 6 p.m. on the Relay for Life Maui County Facebook page. 

Pacific Cancer Foundation offers a free six-week cancer survivorship workshop to Maui’s cancer community beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea hosts the 30th Annual Day of Hope Run on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. This year, the Resort has set a goal of raising $125,000.  

The Maui Police Department will once again be participating in the National Challenge, Cure Starts Now Beard it Up and Color For the Cure campaigns as they raise funds for childhood cancers and research.

For the 11th year consecutive year, cancer patients, survivors and supporters will gather at Hanakaʻōʻō Beach and traverse the ʻAuʻau Channel to the shores of Mānele Bay on Lānaʻi.

Maui Cancer Wellness Retreats presented its first annual Royal High Tea fundraiser on April 28, 2019 where $25,000 was raised for cancer survivors.

Governor David Ige helped pass a resolution in the 2018 legislative session proclaiming December 3 to 7 as Cancer Awareness Week in the State of Hawai‘i.
