New and returning officers and board members of the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce convened for a strategic planning workshop on Saturday to reaffirm the organization’s mission, reassess priorities, and set renewed goals focused on streamlined programming, stronger member engagement, and long-term capacity building.

In celebration of Filipino American History Month, the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce, together with the Maui Filipino Community Council and UH Maui College Kabatak Club, will host The Filipino Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the UH Maui College Pilina Building Events Center.

Now in its 30th year, the Gintong Pamana Awards will be celebrated on June 11, 2025, at the Maui Beach Hotel Ballroom.

The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 2024 Gintong Pamana Leadership Awards. The awards recognize outstanding members of the Maui Filipino community who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, professional excellence and a commitment to community service.

With National Small Business Week (April 29-May 3) coming up, a number of workshops and programs are available to small businesses of Maui to build skills and connections. Co-presented by Maui Economic Development Board, workshops include helping sub-contractors to work with government; teaching how to use Quickbooks for business; building a capability statement; and exploring the work of the Maui Food Innovation Center.

A Filipino resource fair called “Hawak Kamay” (Hand-in-hand) is planned for Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center for individuals and families affected by the recent wildfires. The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce and Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaiʻi are coordinating the effort.

The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce announced five outstanding Filipino leaders in the community to receive the prestigious Gintong Pamana Leadership Award this year, and fourteen students who are receiving scholarships from the Chamber’s foundation. 

Thirty candidates from varying races, including council, governor, mayor and the state legislature will be on hand to meet and ask questions at this casual mixer style event.

The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce is holding its upcoming business mixer June 3 at the Sabado Art Gallery Wailuku, with world renowned local artist Philip Sabado as its featured guest.
