The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents Hunter Hayes in a solo acoustic concert at the MACC, the Maui debut for the singer/songwriter and a multi-platinum and Grammy nominated artist. Tickets go on sale online only at MauiArts.org at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18 and to the general public Friday, Dec. 20.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents a first-time appearance on Maui for Piff The Magic Dragon, a headliner of a successful Las Vegas show for nearly 10 years. As seen on America’s Got Talent and numerous other shows, Piff and his co-star Chihuahua, Mr. Piffles, will bring their one-of-a-kind act to Castle Theater Saturday, March 22, 2025. Tickets go on sale online only at MauiArts.org at 10 a.m. to MACC members Tuesday, Nov. 26 and to the general public Wednesday, Nov. 27.

This year, 23 businesses raised more than $8,800 and 1,761 pounds of food through the end of October, which combined will provide 50,710 meals to individuals and families across the Maui Food Bank’s network.  

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents legendary award-winning singer Dionne Warwick in concert in Castle Theater Wednesday, Dec. 4. Tickets go on sale online only at 10 a.m. to MACC members Thursday, Nov. 14 and to the general public Friday, Nov. 15.

The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” present their new improv tour, “Whose Live Anyway?” in a return visit to Maui on Sunday, Dec. 1.

The Mākaha Sons, one of Hawaiʻi’s most beloved musical groups, will perform a special holiday concert 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the McCoy Studio Theater, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center announced.

Surfrider Foundation Maui Chapter will host a free screening of Inflatable Film’s award-winning, 40-minute documentary, “Uncle Bully’s Surf Skool” on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. The documentary follows local Maui surf instructor Robert “Bully” Kotter and his mentorship of Lahaina’s under-served youth during the pandemic.

The Alexander Academy Performing Company presents The Nutcracker at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15, 2024 at the Castle Theater. There are three shows: Saturday at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, Maui Arts & Cultural Center again celebrates the musical tradition of Hawai’i’s famous four-string instrument at the 17th annual Maui ‘Ukulele Festival, a free Maui community music event in the A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion.

“Shaka, A Story of Aloha” will premiere at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. The feature-length documentary delves into the origins, meanings, and mysteries of the iconic hand-sign, which this year became the official gesture of Hawai‘i.

Maui will soon get a jazz experience from the Diné (Navajo) people.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center is teaming up with Imua Family Services for a Keiki Halloween Festival & Cinema Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the MACC’s A&B Amphitheater, Yokouchi Pavilion and Events Lawn. This FREE ‘Mega Monster Mashup’ event at the MACC will feature a variety of activities including dozens of trick or treat stations, an animal encounter area, live music from DJ Boomshot and Marty Dread and two films on the big screen, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and Hotel Transylvania.

Opportunities range from educators and cashiers to behind-the-scenes roles like organizing archives, event planning, grant writing, and more.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the return of the Grammy Award winning band War, the first and most successful crossover band that fused rock, jazz, funk, Latin, and R&B. The band has sold more than 50 million records with hits such as “Low Rider,” “Spill the Wine,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “Cisco Kid” and many others. The concert is in Castle Theater Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the Maui Showcase for the Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF) with six feature films, one short film, and a collection of four ‘Made in Hawai‘i’ short films. All screenings will take place in the MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater starting Saturday, Oct. 19 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 20.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents in his Maui debut, comedian Jeff Arcuri during his upcoming Whole Wide World Tour stops in Hawai‘i. The show will take place in Castle Theater Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale online only at 10 a.m. to MACC members Wednesday, Sept. 25 and to the general public Friday, Sept. 27.

The 44th annual Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF44) presented by Halekulani will showcase 92 feature films, 114 shorts, 40 world premiers and 31 US premieres across the islands from Oct. 3 to Nov. 10.

The Holy Rosary Church has announced an inaugural golf tournament set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 21 at The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course in Kahului. The special event doubles as a friendly competition and vital fundraiser to support the ongoing restoration and preservation of one of Maui’s most cherished historic landmarks.

Slightly Stoopid is set to perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center with special guests Steel Pulse and Makua Rothman on Sunday, Sept. 15. Gates open at the outdoors Alexander & Baldwin Amphitheater at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 6 p.m.

Policy suggestions for rebuilding Lahaina and increasing Maui’s housing supply will be the focus of a luncheon event sponsored by the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
