One more wildfire victim identified; bringing total to 75
The Maui Police Department identified one more victim of the Aug. 8 Lahaina fire on Tuesday: James Smith, 79, of Lahaina.
Five additional Lahaina wildfire victims were identified; a total of 74 people have been named
This brings the total number of victims publicly identified to 74 of the estimated 97 fatalities, which is down from the death toll of 115 that had been reported for more than two weeks.

Brush fire burns 300 acres between N. Kīhei and Maui Raceway Park
Fire crews spent Monday conducting mop-up operations at the site of a 300 acre brush fire in South Maui. Maui fire officials say the blaze was 100% contained by 11:30 p.m., Sunday.
