Maui’s Kalani Peʻa is celebrating the 2022 GRAMMY nomination of his junior album, “Kau Ka Peʻa,” which is being considered in the Best Regional Roots Music Album category.

The Peek-a-Bows, a local Maui based musical group, announced dates for the online launch of their self titled 3-episode series for keiki called The Peek-a-Bows.

Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, one of the most celebrated creative forces in music history will be heating up the stage of The Neal S Blaisdell Arena for “Hawaiʻi’s Official Valentines Engagement” happening on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022.  

Renowned Kumu Hula Hōkūlani Holt at Maui Kuʻia Estate Chocolate join together on Saturday, Dec. 11, for a fundraiser for Kū Mai Ka Hula.

The Maui Film Festival’s Stardust Cinema starts tonight and continues for five evenings at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The event features 13 Maui premieres under the stars at the A&B Amphitheater.

The celebration kicks off with the traditional Santa Parade from Kalama Park to The Shops on Black Friday, Nov. 26. Starting at 9 a.m., Santa will cruise down Kīhei in style in a 1963 Cadillac escorted by the Maui Classic Cruisers. He is expected to arrive at The Shops around 10:45 a.m. to spread good cheer.

The Japanese Cultural Society of Maui is celebrating the 20th Annual Maui Matsuri with a trio of virtual and in-person events on Nov. 15, 19 and 20.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center announces the opening of Schaefer Portrait Challenge from Jan. 11 to March 19, 2022 in Schaefer International Gallery. Originally scheduled for Jan 2021, this juried statewide exhibition was postponed for a year due to COVID-19.

Sunday night’s performance of “Wicked Little Girls” at Da Playground in Māʻalaea is already sold out and is a tribute to Sellers who found a niche market that was unrepresented and then did something about it.

History Theatre returns to Lahaina on Thursday, Nov. 18, and Friday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. The performances will be held at the Lahaina Jodo Mission at 99 Ala Moana St. in Lahaina.

The Daryl Hall and John Oates concert that had been rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 9 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center has been canceled. 

Ebb & Flow  Ensemble is performing two free concerts at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Pro Arts Playhouse in Kīhei. Admission to the concert is free.

“Halloween is on,” according to Maui Mayor Victorino. While a return to door-to-door tradition is allowed this year, the Mayor is encouraging drive-thru options. A list of upcoming events is posted:
