ProArts Online is presenting a pay-what-you-can show called  “A Very Virtual Holiday Special.” The show is available online and features performances from local artists and musicians.

Live @ the MACC to Stream Free 2020 Virtual Holiday Pops Concert, Dec. 20

Live @ the MACC is presenting a free live streaming concert from The Maui Pops Orchestra at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20. The orchestra will be performing holiday tunes including White Christmas, The Christmas Song, Winter Wonderland and Mele Kalikimaka.

A Wailuku girl is one of 34 kids whose drawings are featured in “The Ickabog” by J.K. Rowling.  The fairy tale book is Rowling’s first children’s book in 13 years, since the last Harry Potter book was published in 2007.

MACC to Livestream Events Every Saturday Through January 2021

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will livestream events every Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. through Jan. 30, 2021 for its Live @ the MACC series. The series consists of rock, pop, holiday and Hawaiian music concerts, hula and contemporary dance performances and the visual arts.

Maui’s Nā Wai ‘Ehā Nominated for Grammy Award

Maui’s Nā Wai ʽEhā is the latest artist from Hawaii to be nominated for a Grammy award.  The four-member group from Wailuku, Maui is one of five finalists in the Best Regional Roots Music Album category for their sophomore release “Lovely Sunrise.” 

Three Free Drive-In and Live-Streamed Concerts at the MACC

The MACC’s Live @ the MACC series continues this weekend, Nov. 20-22, with three free outdoor, drive-in concerts in the A&B Amphitheater. Each concert will also be livestreamed. The first event takes place on Friday, Nov 20 and features NĀ HŌKŪ HOU with Jeff Peterson, Amy Hānaialiʻi & Josh Tatofi.

Jordan Soon, a Maui-based musician released his very first digital single, “Flashlight,” which is now available on all digital platforms. Now in his senior year in high school, Soon’s single was released on Nov. 4, on his 18th birthday.

The Maui Chamber of Commerce announced Alaka‘i Paleka and Kathy Collins as the local celebrity hosts for the 7th Annual Virtual Hawaiian Airlines Made in Maui County Festival. The virtual event will feature shopping and interacting with vendors in virtual booths, a two-day live streaming component with QVC-style vendor presentations, sponsor messages, a chef’s demonstration, fashion show, vendor commercials, live musical entertainment and local programming.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents nights under the stars with another free Starry Night Cinema Drive-In edition that will feature the Disney Pixar film, Coco, on Nov. 6, 7 and 8 in the A&B Amphitheater.
