Former Miss Hawaiʻi Combine Talents to Spread Aloha

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and all of the uncertainty that has come with it, a group of Forever Miss Hawaiʻi members have joined forces to spread cheer and the aloha spirit by creating a special video to share with Hawaii’s communities.

TKG Hosts “2020 Census for Hawai‘i: A Virtual Concert”

The The Kālaimoku Group is hosting a virtual concert as a call to all Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders to complete the 2020 Census. The hour-long production will feature five of Hawaiʻi’s top musicians and entertainers, including Henry Kapono and Friends, Kapena, Barry Flanagan, and Grammy Award nominees Josh Tatofi and Kimié Miner.

The “STEM Imagineers” of Pukalani Elementary were heading to the VEX Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky on April 24th, but due to the COVID19 virus, the competition was canceled. Councilmember Yuki Lei Sugimura in partnership with teacher Debbie Hisashima will do a virtual showcase on Zoom with these Imagineer students to learn about their Robotics project.
