The 13th annual Maui AgFest & 4-H Livestock Fair, Maui’s signature event to raise awareness about Maui agriculture while invigorating Maui agriculture will take place Saturday, May 30, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at War Memorial Complex, the special events field and two of the baseball fields.

Maui Man Found Guilty of Attempted Enticement of a Minor

A federal jury today found a Wailuku man guilty of attempted enticement of a minor. The charges stem from an Oct. 11, 2017 incident in which the man was accused of exchanging messages with an individual “whom he believed was a 14 year-old girl.”

Avocado Lace Bug Detected in Hawai‘i

The avocado lace bug (Pseudacysta perseae), was first detected in Pearl City, Oʻahu, in December 2019 and was subsequently identified on Hawaiʻi Island and from plants in retail outlets on Maui that were destroyed or treated. PC: Hawaiʻi Department of Agriculture.

Parents of Missing Man, Aidan Dungan, Issue Plea for Answers

Since he went missing, Aidan Dungan has missed birthdays, holidays and family gatherings.  He turned 24 on Jan. 22, and missed his grandmother’s 92nd birthday on Feb. 7.  Family members say he also has an older 30-year-old brother who he has also not been in contact with, despite being very close.
