Henry Kapono to perform live at Duke’s Beach House Maui on Dec. 20
All are invited to kick off the holiday season at Duke’s Beach House Maui with a concert featuring GRAMMY-nominated, 21-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner Henry Kapono and two artists from Henry Kapono Foundation’s On The Rise Program, Arlie-Avery Asiu and Nāmakaokalani Pauole. The “ʻUkulele for Lahaina” Project announces the inaugural Kula ʻUkulele Festival, a special event as part of the Maui Jazz & Blues Festival series dedicated to providing ʻukulele to families who lost their instruments in the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire. The event will feature some of Hawaii’s top ʻukulele masters and will take place on June 22 from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean Organic Farm and Distillery on the slopes of Haleakalā.

Tables and tickets are now available for the annual Maui Calls, Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s signature fundraising gala, and food & wine tasting event, which was rescheduled for March 9, 2024 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion. The event was supposed to be held in August 2023, but was postponed due to the Maui wildfires.
