Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea announces third annual Festivals of Aloha

The Festivals of Aloha is set to return for its third year, the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea announced on Wednesday. The weekend of events from Oct. 25 to 27, 2024 celebrates Hawaiian heritage and traditions through a series of immersive cultural experiences, musical performances and local artisan showcases.

2024 Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival, Aug. 17

The 2024 Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival takes place on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. The event features free keiki activities, workshops, Hawaiʻi made artisans and hula accompanied by Hawaiian music.

KS Children’s Chorus draws nearly 1,000 people to free community concert on Maui

Kamehameha Schools Children’s Chorus hosted a free community concert Friday night at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The concert, He Leo Aloha No Maui, drew nearly a thousand people to “share the gift of mele to bring healing and hope to the people of Maui,” according to the organizers. Children from the Children’s Chorus sang “O Lahaina, E Hoi Ka Nani” during the event.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents a free community concert featuring the Kamehameha Schools Children’s Chorus on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Castle Theater. The He Leo Aloha No Maui Concert will also feature guest performances by Kamaka Kukona and Hālau o Ka Hanu Lehua, Nāpua Silva and Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka o Uka, and Ikaika Blackburn, Halehaku Seabury, and Keoni Souza of Nā Hoa.

Update/Postponed: CNHA hosts hula and mele workshop fundraiser to benefit Maui

The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement hosts a day long hula and mele workshop fundraiser, Kōkua Nā Hono Aʻo Piʻilani, on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Windward Community College, Hale ʻĀkoakoa. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit ongoing Maui relief efforts.
