Maui Preparatory Academy proudly presents Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. This vibrant, 60-minute musical adaptation of the Pixar classic is making a splash at the Bozich Center, March 6-8, 2026.

The United States Senate Youth Program announced that high school students Anna Nguyen of Maui Preparatory Academy and Lotus Yasuda will join US Sens. Brian Schatz and Mazie K. Hirono in representing Hawaiʻi during the 64th annual USSYP Washington Week, to be held March 7-14, 2026.

Maui Preparatory Academy is set to host the fourth annual Pueo Invitational Girls Volleyball Tournament from August. 14-16, 2025, at the Bozich Center for Athletics and Performing Arts. This tournament will bring together eight high school teams from across Hawaiʻi and California for three days of competition.

Maui Preparatory Academy is seeking enthusiastic and creative educators to join its Lower School Performing Arts team. The school is currently hiring part-time Theater and Music teachers for grades K–5. They are looking for educators that are passionate about inspiring young learners through performance, music, movement and storytelling.

The Construction Industry of Maui awarded three students each a $25,000 scholarship to encourage education towards a career in the construction industry. The Bob Poulson Scholarship encourages Maui students to pursue a degree in the construction and design industry, away from Maui, then bring their acquired knowledge, skills and local hearts back to Maui to serve their communities. This year’s scholarship recipients are seniors, Macie Madaus, Kai Shively and Karissa Chapman.

Of the 41 local athletes to receive scholarship support from the foundation this year, seven were from Maui including: Kalia Kaneta and Kaysa Ong of Maui High School; Avery Kirkham of Maui Preparatory Academy; Kamakanōweo Kekauoha-Schultz and Bella Kuailani of King Kekaulike High School; and Kaili McMillin and Sage Ryden of Seabury Hall Academy.

Sadie Stafford, an 11th grader at Maui Preparatory Academy earned an Honorable Mention award for her pencil on paper artwork entitled “Sweet 15.”

A total of 77 surfers — 36 girls, 41 boys from 11 Maui Interscholastic League schools — competed at Lahaina Harbor on Saturday in the first official event inside the burn zone created by the deadly wildfire on Aug. 8, 2023.

The 12th annual Maui Interscholastic League Surf Coaches Certification Clinic had a record number of participants. Thirty-three coaches passed the clinic after completing an open ocean swim, and a program that included ocean risk assessment, ocean rescue, lifesaving techniques, CPR and first aid.
