Binhi at Ani will be holding its annual Bayanihan Food Distribution in Lahaina on Nov. 15, 2025 at Lahaina Intermediate School.

More than 450 Maui seniors gathered Saturday for the 53rd Kupuna Aloha Luncheon to meet old friends, partake of a hotel-style lunch buffet, take home some prize drawings and honor Kupuna Advocates of the Year Kathy Collins and Hedy Udarbe.

Binhi at Ani will award $32,000 in scholarships to 24 members of the Class of 2025. The eight top-rated students will receive $2,000 while 16 students will receive $1,000.

Binhi at Ani will host a Summer Enrichment Program consisting of Free classes for youth in Philippine Cultural Dance, Art, and Introductory Escrima.

The annual celebration—believed to be the longest-running Filipino fiesta in the United States—was first held in 1970.

Binhi at Ani will hold its 2025 Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at The Dunes at Maui Lani. Proceeds will benefit the Binhi at Ani scholarship programs.

Binhi at Ani will hold a free immigration workshop in cooperation with The Legal Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center, located at 780 Oneheʻe Ave. in Kahului.

Binhi at Ani will be holding its annual Bayanihan Food Distribution with a drive-through event beginning at 9 a.m. Nov. 16 at Lahaina Intermediate School.

Maui nonprofit Binhi at Ani will award scholarships to 26 Maui County students in the Class of 2024. The three top-rated students will receive $2,000 while 23 students will receive $1,000.

Binhi at Ani will be hosting a Summer Program consisting of free classes for youth in Philippine cultural dance, art, and introductory Tae Kwon Do.

Bayer Hawaii has donated $50,000 for wildfire disaster recovery to three Maui nonprofits—$20,000 for the Lahaina Restoration Foundation and $15,000 each for Maui Economic Opportunity and Binhi At Ani.

The Filipino Community Center, in partnership with Filipino organizations on Oʻahu, is coordinating a benefit concert with all the proceeds going to Binhi at Ani Foundation-Tulong for Lahaina Fund.

“Tulong means help in the Tagalog and Ilokano languages,” said organization President Melen Agcolicol, who will lead the coordination.  “And Binhi at Ani wanted to create a fund to help our kababayans, our fellow Filipinos, which comprise at least 40% of Lahaina town.”  

Binhi at Ani, an organization dedicated to promoting education, awards 25 scholarships to the Class of 2023.

Binhi at Ani’s summer program, “Summer at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center,” offers a variety of free classes starting from June 26.

The 54th Annual Barrio Fiesta will be held at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului on Friday, May 26 (5 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and Saturday, May 27 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.).

The November 2022 Bayanihan Food Distribution will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului at 780 Oneheʻe Avenue across from Maui Waena School. 

Nareit Hawaiʻi awarded a $30,000 grant to the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center to support the expansion of its Bayanihan Feeding Program, the beneficiaries of which are seniors on fixed incomes who have free meals prepared and delivered to them at home. 

Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului will be the site of the 53rd Annual Barrio Fiesta. The event takes place over two days, on Friday, May 27 from 5 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

The deadline to apply for the Binhi at Ani Scholarship for graduating high school students is March 1, 2022.
