Over 200 students from Lahainaluna High School on Maui are enrolled in a new emergency readiness curriculum running through this Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, organized by Hawai‘i workforce development nonprofit ClimbHI with the support of the Maui Strong Fund at the Hawai‘i Community Foundation.

Maui Hotel & Lodging Association continues another year in supporting Maui County seniors by hosting the upcoming event, the Spring Nā Kupuna Appreciation Event on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Hawaiʻi workforce development nonprofit ClimbHI partnered with dozens of Maui businesses and organizations to host its Leadership, Exploration, Inspiration (LEI) program on Maui today. The free daylong program was held at the Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui, with participation from all major hotels in the Wailea-Mākena area, providing exposure to a variety of careers.

Maui County businesses and organizations have donated $18,500 to sponsor 233 high school students to earn Service Excellence Certificates through the Hawaiʻi workforce development nonprofit ClimbHI.

A new statewide program that connects high schools with hospitality industry resources to enhance education and job readiness for students was launched by Hawaiʻi nonprofit ClimbHI.

The nonprofit ClimbHI is launching a new program called Hospitality for Me, which provides a full suite of hospitality resources for high schools statewide, making hospitality education and job readiness a standard offering for students. 

Joyce Miyamoto, a career and technical education teacher at Baldwin High School on Maui, was honored with a hospitality educator award by the ClimbHI nonprofit and Hawai’i Lodging & Tourism Association.

Mayor Michael Victorino announced the award of three grants to three nonprofit groups, for fiscal year 2022, totaling $84,000 for Maui County youth programs and leadership development.

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association kicked off April with two community events: Spring Na Kupuna Appreciation and ClimbHi LEI for high school and college students.
