Maui police say the man wanted in connection with a deadly crash in Pukalani last week, has since been taken into custody. Kaleo Kubo, 31, was taken into custody without incident on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, according to an update provided by Maui police.

A Maui teen has succumbed to injuries sustained in an early morning hit-and-run crash that occurred on Haleakalā Highway early Wednesday morning in Pukalani. Maui police have since identified the victim as Mason Pang, 19, of Makawao.

Maui police are looking for a 31-year-old man wanted in connection with a near-fatal motor vehicle collision reported early Wednesday morning in Pukalani. Police say the man, identified as Kaleo Kubo, fled the scene on foot. Kubo, who is known to frequent Central Maui, is wanted in connection with this motor vehicle collision and is also wanted for an active no-bail warrant.

A Maui woman has since succumbed to injuries sustained in a single-vehicle collision reported Friday afternoon on Thompson Road. Maui police have since identified the woman as Carmencita Goble, 84, of Kula.

Update: On Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m., the bicyclist succumbed to his injuries and died while at Maui Memorial Medical Center. The bicyclist is identified as Richard Holland, 79, of Kīhei.

The involvement of alcohol is considered a factor in a rollover crash that resulted in the hospitalization of an 18-year-old driver from Wailuku. The teen was ejected from the vehicle and suffered critical, life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center for further treatment. The front passenger, an 18-year-old Wailuku male, and the rear passenger, an 18-year-old Waiheʻe male, both sustained minor injuries and were transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.

A teen from Hāna, Maui was airlifted to the Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical, life-threatening condition after suffering injuries in a fall from an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Thursday.

A 51-year-old Kīhei man suffered critical injuries when he collided head-on into a vehicle while operating a scooter on Keonekai Road Thursday night. The incident was reported at 7:47 p.m. on June 26, 2025, approximately 202 feet west of Līloa Hema Drive in Kīhei.

The 35-year-old Lahaina man was operating an orange 2017 KTM motorcycle and was traveling south within the inner lane of the highway when he collided into a white 2024 Chevrolet Suburban that was making an illegal left turn onto the highway from the parking area of 2580 Kekaʻa Drive, according to a preliminary police investigation.

A 44-year-old Kahului woman was pulled unresponsive from a vehicle after it was involved in a rollover accident on West Kuiaha Rd. in Haʻikū on Thursday morning. A 2-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the vehicle, did not sustain injuries as a result of the collision. Both were extricated by good Samaritans.

Update: A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Kahului on Friday, has since succumbed to his injuries and died while at the Maui Memorial Medical Center early Saturday morning. Police have identified the pedestrian as Randal Takatani, 65, of Kahului.

A 56-year-old Kahului man suffered critical life-threatening injuries when he was ejected from a moped he was operating during a collision on Wednesday night in Waiehu.

A Lahaina man was arrested Tuesday morning, following a hit-and-run crash in which he allegedly struck a moped with his sedan and fled the scene. Police say that as a result of the collision, the moped operator, a 32-year-old Wailuku woman became caught in the undercarriage of the sedan and was dragged for a significant distance before becoming dislodged.
