For nearly a decade, the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association has assisted local students through scholarships and training programs.  This year, a total of $54,343 in workforce training programs and visitor industry scholarships have been awarded to Maui-based students.

Preliminary results from this year’s Charity Walk show an impressive total of $1.62 million raised in Maui County to directly benefit more than 74 Maui County nonprofit organizations. This “day-of” total broke last year’s record, however, funding is still being accepted until May 31.

All the different components of Maui agriculture will come together on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at War Memorial Special Events Field in Wailuku, as Maui County Farm Bureau (MCFB) and Maui 4-H Livestock Association hosts its 17th Maui AgFest & 4-H Livestock Fair.

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association invites Maui to join this year’s annual Charity Walk fundraiser for Maui County at the War Memorial Events Complex in Wailuku. The MHLA Visitor Industry Charity Walk takes place on Saturday, May 9, at 8 a.m.

The Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi’s Young Professionals Program (COCHYP) is hosting the first-ever Maui Tech Panel & Mixer on March 31 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at Maui Brewing Co. in Kīhei, 605 Līpoa Parkway.

The Visitor Industry Charity Walk is the largest statewide fundraiser hosted by a nonprofit organization. Since its inception, more than $45 million has been raised to support hundreds of local charities and since 1980, MHLA started hosting the Charity Walk for Maui County and has since raised over $21 million for Maui.

Members of the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association recently delivered meals and gifts to 500 Maui County seniors during the annual Winter Nā Kūpuna Appreciation Event, according to an announcement from the association Friday.

The 33rd Annual Turkey & Rice Gifting was held Saturday in Lānaʻi City, continuing one of the island’s most cherished Thanksgiving traditions. Hosted by the Coon ʻOhana of Trilogy Excursions, the annual event provides a turkey to each residential family on Lānaʻi—celebrating community, gratitude, and connection for over three decades.

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association announced Michael Pye, Regional Vice President of Fairmont, Hawaiʻi and General Manager of the Fairmont Kea Lani, as the Maui County Chair of the 47th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk. Pye will oversee the Maui County Charity Walk scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the War Memorial Complex in Wailuku.
