Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center has announced “12 Days of Giveaways,” a holiday-inspired social media campaign giving shoppers the chance to win 12 prizes valued at $300 or more, provided by retailers and restaurants at the center.

Lahaina Cannery will wrap up its Holiday Cheer events with a free live concert featuring the popular island band Wavvy on Saturday, Dec. 20.

After a long-awaited return, The Morning Mākeke will host its only market of the season — the Mele Kalikimaka Mākeke — on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran School in Kahului.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua will host its Mix & Mingle Marketplace on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 3 to 9 p.m.

The one-night-only, 21-and-over event offers guests an early look at the decorated Kaluanui Estate and the annual Hui Holidays Marketplace.

Without resuscitation, the future is bleak for Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, with the aging, once premier Central Maui shopping destination caught in a downward spiral — store closings lead to less foot traffic, which beget more loss of business, and so on.

The 10th Annual Hawaiian Airlines Made in Maui County Festival will take place Nov. 3 and 4, offering a unique shopping opportunity and showcasing local Maui County businesses.

The Shops at Wailea is celebrating the holiday season with a 12 Days of Christmas giveaway, hosted on the Center’s Instagram (@TheShopsAtWailea). Starting Monday, Dec. 13 through Friday, Dec. 24, Maui residents can enter to win prizes from various retailers and restaurants.

Maui clothing company Na Koa Brand opened a pop-up store at The Shops at Wailea, with its unique, hand-drawn Polynesian designs by co-owner Daimus Kanahele on apparel and accessories available through the holiday season. 

The Shops at Wailea released its calendar of signature Hawaiian cultural events. Guests of all ages can again enjoy complimentary cultural activities and live entertainment, including hula dancing, coconut weaving and lei making.
