A 51-year-old Kīhei man suffered critical injuries when he collided head-on into a vehicle while operating a scooter on Keonekai Road Thursday night. The incident was reported at 7:47 p.m. on June 26, 2025, approximately 202 feet west of Līloa Hema Drive in Kīhei.

Four people were transported to the hospital—three with major injuries, and one with life-threatening injuries—following a head-on crash on the Hāna Highway in Spreckelsville, Friday afternoon.

A motorcyclist is hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in Kāʻanapali on Friday evening. Update: A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Kahului on Friday, has since succumbed to his injuries and died while at the Maui Memorial Medical Center early Saturday morning. Police have identified the pedestrian as Randal Takatani, 65, of Kahului.
