The Maui Police Department requests the public’s help with any information on the whereabouts of Autumn Woods, 47, of Kahului. Woods is known to frequent the Pāʻia area and does not have a vehicle.

Update: (11:19 p.m., June 9, 2026) Merino was located and found to be in good health. The Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.

The Maui Police Department requests the public’s assistance with any information on the whereabouts of Yhazmyn Shaw Burrows-Agapay, 15, of Wailuku.

The search for a missing snorkeler off of Kāʻanapali ended at nightfall on Monday after three days.  The missing man, John Weems, 75, of North Carolina was reported missing late Friday afternoon, when he failed to return from snorkeling off Kāʻanapali Beach.  

Weems was reported missing by a concerned family member on the evening of Friday, May 8, 2026, after he failed to return from going snorkeling in the area of 100 Nohea Kai Drive in Kāʻanapali.  Weems had texted a family member at 1:30 p.m., indicating he was going snorkeling, and at approximately 3 p.m., a guest reported to hotel staff that they had observed what appeared to be a male in distress in the ocean. 

The US Coast Guard suspended its search at 4:30 p.m. Thursday for a fishing vessel crewman in the water over 1,200 miles offshore Hawaiʻi.  Missing is a 59-year-old man who reportedly fell overboard, Sunday.

Update: Atkinson was located and found to be in good health.  The Maui Police Department thanks the public for their assistance.

At approximately 11:40 a.m., the woman was reportedly attempting to gather water using a basket when she fell into the river. Due to recent heavy rains, the river was flowing rapidly at the time. According to a witness, she became fully submerged and has not been seen since.

The three-day multiagency search for a missing Kauaʻi man was suspended following the discovery of human remains in waters off Kahili Beach on Saturday afternoon.

The Maui Police Department seeking the public’s help with information on the whereabouts of a 36-year-old Kīhei man. Kelley is known to walk around the Kīhei area for extended periods of time, sometimes for weeks at a time, before returning home; however, his family is concerned for his safety and well-being.
