Maui County Federal Credit Union announced the reopening of its Lahaina Branch at 270 Lahainaluna Road on Jan. 12, 2026, marking a meaningful return to its home in Lahaina. Its temporary location at the Fairway Shops in Kāʻanapali at 2580 Kekaʻa Drive, Suite 117, closes permanently on Jan. 9, 2026.

Maui County Federal Credit Union will host its second annual Holiday Fair, a festive community event that celebrates small local businesses and spreads holiday cheer across Maui. The fair will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 224 Kehalani Village Drive in Wailuku.

Maui County Federal Credit Union awarded $10,000 in scholarships to 10 outstanding local students, reinforcing its commitment to empowering Maui County’s future leaders through higher education.

The Credit Unions of Maui held the 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course. The event raised $35,000 in net proceeds for the Pacific Cancer Foundation, a Maui nonprofit dedicated to providing free, compassionate support to individuals and families navigating cancer. 

Maui County Federal Credit Union has launched its 2025 Scholarship Program, offering 10 $1,000 scholarships to local students pursuing higher education.

Credit unions across Maui have contributed $200,000 to Habitat for Humanity Maui to support home repairs and rebuilding for families impacted by the 2023 wildfires.

This year’s event brought together 144 golfers and community supporters, resulting in $38,000 raised to benefit Hospice Maui, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for Maui residents.

The Credit Unions of Maui are excited to announce their 9th annual charity golf tournament, which will take place on August 10, 2024, at The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course, and will host up to 144 golfers. This year’s tournament aims to raise funds for Hospice Maui, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care for individuals and families facing end-of-life challenges.

The Credit Unions of Maui planned to host their annual Charity Golf Tournament on Aug. 12, 2023, to benefit local nonprofit, Hospice Maui. Considering the wildfires that ravaged areas throughout Maui, the event was cancelled, and in partnership with Hospice Maui, the $38,000 in proceeds raised was donated to the Credit Unions of Maui Wildfire Relief Fund, which has been providing essential resources to their members and those who have been impacted by the Maui wildfires.

Maui County Federal Credit Union’s Lahaina branch has reopened in a temporary new location at the Fairway Shops in Kāʻanapali at 2580 Kekaʻa Drive, Suite 117, between China Bowl and Keller Williams Realty.

The Credit Unions of Maui will host up to 160 golfers at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course for the 8th annual Credit Unions of Maui Charity Golf Tournament, on Aug. 12.

Maui County Federal Credit Union hosts school supply drives at its branches in Kahului, Lahaina and Wailuku from June 20 until July 21, 2023. These events are in partnership with The Salvation Army’s annual Adopt a Backpack program which provides backpacks filled with school supplies for Maui’s children in need.

Through Dec. 10, 2022, individuals can pick-up Angel Tree tags at Maui County Federal Credit Union branches in Kahului, Lahaina and Wailuku.

Maui County Federal Credit Union awarded 10 students each with $1,000 scholarships towards their college education. Over the past 21 years, Maui County FCU has awarded scholarships totaling $267,000 to Maui County students pursuing higher education.  

The Credit Unions of Maui will host up to 140 golfers at The Dunes at Maui Lani for the 7th annual Credit Unions of Maui Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 17.

Maui County Federal Credit Union is holding school supply and backpack drives at its branches in Lahaina and Wailuku. The supply drives launched on June 13 and continue until July 15, 2022. These events will support The Salvation Army Maui’s annual efforts to provide backpacks filled with school supplies for Maui’s children in need.

“We are grateful of the generosity Maui County Federal Credit Union and its members who have helped support children suffering from abuse or neglect in their healing process,” said Paul Tonnessen, Executive Director, Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui.

Maui County Federal Credit Union has partnered with financial wellness technology company iGrad to offer Maui County FCU members personalized financial wellness education. In addition to making Enrich available to its nearly 20,000 members, Maui County FCU will offer the online platform to the public for free.

The program is part of the American Rescue Plan to assist small businesses in Maui County impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Maui County Federal Credit Union raised $5,217 in support of Maui Health Foundation’s Kokua for a Cause campaign, supporting breast cancer prevention for individuals on Maui by providing life-saving mammograms and biopsies for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured.
