Highway users advised to use caution during Valley to the Sea Half Marathon, March 15
The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation is advising highway users to use caution and expect delays on Saturday, March 15, as the Valley to the Sea Half Marathon, along with its 10k and 5k races run through the Wailuku and Māʻalaea area.
One lane closed at South High Street and Kolo Place for night work, March 3-5
One lane in the northbound direction on South High Street will be closed for two nights from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., the next day, from Monday, March 3 through Wednesday, March 5. The closure is necessary for striping and paving work following an emergency sewer line repair in the area on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Maui police release surveillance of suspect in alleged burglary and attempted arson in Wailuku
The Maui Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the depicted woman, who is wanted for alleged burglary and arson attempt. Police say that on Friday, June 28, 2024 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the woman broke into a Wailuku building and then attempted to start a fire within.
