An Avis-Budget rental office has opened at Maui Mall Village, giving kamaʻāina and visitors a convenient alternative location for all their car rental needs on the Valley Isle. The outlet, which features a full-service rental counter, is located next to IHOP and Crystal Dreams. Rental cars may be picked up from and returned to reserved stalls conveniently located in the Maui Mall Village parking lot.

Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya opened its fifth Hawaiʻi location at Maui Mall Village recently, bringing its flavorful menu of ramen, rice bowls, and izakaya dishes to Maui. Located near Center Court, next to Genki Sushi, across from the Regal Cinemas Maui Mall, the new restaurant has seating for up to 40 guests. A soft opening is underway with the official grand opening set for Jan. 6, 2025.

Maui Mall Village is celebrating the holiday season with a series of festive events and activities designed to spread joy and support the local community. One of the most significant efforts this year is the Season of Giving: A Holiday Food Drive, in partnership with the Maui Food Bank.

Older adults and their families are invited to attend the 51st annual Maui County Senior Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Maui Mall Village in Kahului. This year’s theme, “The Power of Connection,” highlights the impact of meaningful relationships and social interactions for everyone’s health and wellbeing.

Following a five-year hiatus, the Maui Okinawan Festival returns to the Maui Mall Village on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kamaʻāina and visitors can savor Okinawan food while enjoying high-energy music and dance, cultural displays with live demonstrations and interactive activities and shopping at the festival’s craft fair featuring Maui and Oʻahu vendors.

Maui Mall Village today announced that Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya will open at the center in early fall 2024. The restaurant, which operates four locations on Oʻahu, offers fresh, gourmet and affordable Japanese ramen and bar-style dishes. It serves traditional flavors in a chic modern environment with an array of options, from build-your-own ramen to a selection of signature dishes. Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya will open near Center Court with seating for about 40 guests. 

Maui Mall Village is pleased to once again host The Art of Trash & Trashion Show, which kicks off on Earth Day, April 22, 2024. Mālama Maui Nui presents the annual programs to promote the vital message of upcycling through the imaginative transformation of trash. Kamaʻāina and visitors can attend the free opening night “trashion” show and visit the gallery conveniently located at Maui Mall Village.

This week on Maui, there’s major tribute concerts to Jimmy Buffet with Jake Shimabukuro and songwriter Mac McAnnaly, and a Willie K Tribute by Makana. There’s also events celebrating Mardi Gras, Valentines Day, Chinese New Year and a football viewing for the weekend.

This week on Maui, there are concerts by award-winning country singer Brett Young and legendary reggae band The Abyssinians, a public display of the Mobile Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the award-winning musical Daddy Long Legs. Coming Soon: Chinese New Year, rocking bluesman Popa Chubby.

Maui Mall Village and the Maui Chinese New Year Festival invite kamaʻāina and visitors to celebrate the Year of the Dragon with family-friendly cultural experiences, including food and craft booths, demonstrations, displays and music on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ritual Integrative Wellness, a new small business merchant at the Maui Mall Village, is inviting the community to enjoy free classes during its grand opening on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The wellness studio is offering free 30-minute yoga and Pilates Reformer classes to those who sign up online in advance.

Maui Mall Village welcomes new retailer, Makaliʻi, to the center. The locally owned and operated small business sells Maui-made products, including T-shirts, earrings, necklaces, hats, stickers, and acrylic 3D Lites. The shop also sells Maui Strong products and Lahainaluna Athletics branded gear and accessories.

This week on Maui, the band Kanekoa is performing at a benefit concert for Maui wildfire victims, the free annual Jimi Hendrix tribute takes place in Pāʻia and for the observance of World AIDS Day there is “Music For Hope” at the ʻĪao Theatre. Find our comprehensive listing HERE.
