The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset welcomes Big Brothers Big Sisters Regional Director, Megan Ness as its guest speaker at an upcoming meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.  She will be joined in her presentation by Maria Santiago, Enrollment and Matching Specialist for the organization.

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset announced the recipients of five “Go for the Green” $2,500 scholarships. These scholarships were offered to select high school graduates who reside in West Maui, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi or Hāna. The applicants must be attending an accredited college and be pursuing a field of study that will benefit the environment and/or the community.

As the Founder for Roots and Reef Design Agency and co-founder of nonprofit Aloha Amplified, Nishikawa leads projects across community development, branding, websites, and user experience—helping mission-driven organizations communicate clearly and design tools that serve their communities well.

Members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset and fellow volunteers spent a recent Thursday helping to finish a Habitat for Humanity home for a family of wildfire survivors in Lahaina.

A free electronic waste (e-cycling) drop-off event will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Maui Family YMCA Westside Resource Center in Lahaina.

In October 2023, the White Salmon-Bingen Rotary Club of Washington state provided funding for shelving, storage bins, and essential supplies for the conversion of a shipping container into a resource room for the Lahainaluna High School Athletic Department.

Organization leaders with Aloha FurEver Pets Foundation will discuss expanding access to spay and neuter services on Maui during a Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting.

Recently, more than 30 students participated in planting 15 trees and transplanting over 100 saplings, which will be cared for by agricultural students until they are ready to be donated to homeowners engaged in rebuilding efforts. 

Three members of the Aloha Amplified, Inc. board were selected as featured speakers at the upcoming, Feb. 3, 2026 meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset. On the Monday before Christmas, families and children at Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center had the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus, enjoy a holiday lunch and receive personalized gifts.

Members and guests of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset recently toured Mahi Pono’s operations where they met farm managers and visited crop fields.

John Pele, executive director of the Maui Hotel and Lodging Association, will present at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Sacred Hearts School received a $15,000 grant in mid-November from the Hawaiʻi Rotary District 5000 Foundation Maui Fires Relief Fund to support the school lunch program for students in need. 

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset Foundation is inviting the public to take part in the annual Secret Angel Project, a heartfelt effort to make the holidays brighter for children and families experiencing homelessness on Maui.

The upcoming meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset on Nov. 18 features Leana Taylor, director of philanthropy at the Maui Health Foundation. Her position was created to expand outreach efforts in support of Maui’s healthcare system.
